How far is it?

Approximately 320 miles with roughly 35,000 meters of ascent. I’ve used Steve Birkinshaws (thank you) route for planning but there’s a few adjustments to the order. This is to avoid a couple of early river crossings and to help keep my fear of heights under control.

How can I donate?

Thank you! You can donate at:

How will you resupply with food and get a change of clothes?

I’ll be carrying everything with me from start to finish, all food, clothing, camping gear, everything. It’s totally unsupported - no food stops or stashes, no aid stops, no change of clothes, nothing. Totally unsupported.

How long do you expect it to take?

I’ve got twelve days of food so ideally less that..

How are you going to carry twelve days of food on your back?

It’s about 7kg of chocolate and protein brownies. I’ll be on operating on a calorie deficit. There’s a difficult line to find between carrying enough to eat but not too much to carry.

I’ve never heard of you. What makes you think you can do it?

Lol. One of my favs.

Can I come out and walk with you?

I’m unable to physically prevent people walking alongside me but this is a completely unsupported challenge. To state that no one can walk alongside me without a means of prevention would leave the challenge open to sabotage.

So yes, you can walk with me but please note that you absolutely can’t help me - no Fanta, no chocolate, no pacing, no navigation, nothing.

Given the current pandemic I would also ask that anyone wishing to walk alongside me respects social distancing guidance.
